Comedian Bert Kreischer’s Tour Bus Fire
Comedian Bert Kreischer surprised his followers with photos revealing the remains of his tour bus, which had been left as a charred shell following a frightening fire.
On March 15, Kreischer shared the harrowing details on Instagram, recounting the incident. He mentioned that they had departed Fargo late at night and experienced a tire blowout about an hour down the road. “Both drivers mentioned they’d never seen anything like it in their years on the job,” he noted.
Realizing they couldn’t stay on the bus, Kreischer and his team opted for alternative transportation. He expressed that staying on the bus would have likely resulted in a tragic outcome.
“We waited a couple of hours, then we ditched the bus and got on crew buses heading to Cedar Rapids,” he explained. The next morning, they learned that their bus had caught fire while traveling.
“Our bus driver, Dewy, managed to escape in time. He said the flames erupted within 15 seconds, consuming the front cabin instantly,” Kreischer continued. He took a moment to reflect on how lucky they were to be unharmed.
“Here’s the silver lining: had we slept in that bus, we probably would have been trapped and, well, dead,” he remarked, reinforcing his sense of gratitude. “So, as annoying as things can get, everything is, in a way, a blessing. I’m heading home now,” he concluded.
Kreischer posted an image showing the burned remains of the bus, captioned: “We’re all safe, but my bus is gone.”
In another story, he was seen outside a Dick’s Sporting Goods store, shopping for new clothes after the fire destroyed their belongings. He humorously shared, “My current & only outfit.”
