Bessent highlights ‘very good offers’ for trading again, while the market remains indifferent and sells the US dollar

Beyoncé’s Tour and Trade Talk

Beyoncé is currently touring, yet there appears to be a lack of enthusiasm. Tickets are priced at a modest $25, but many seats remain unfilled.

At this point, it seems that people might be growing weary of the same old performances.

Meanwhile, discussions surrounding Trump’s trade team continue, particularly regarding deals that seem to be stalled. Hassett mentioned on Thursday that some kind of agreement was expected to be revealed that day, but we are still in a wait-and-see mode.

Now, Bescent is revisiting some familiar numbers:

  • Numerous trading partners have approached us with attractive proposals.
  • The US is currently in negotiations with 17 trading partners.
  • China is not part of these discussions yet.

“We might announce trade deals with several key partners sometime this week,” he stated.

The market has been on a nine-day upward trend, fueled by hopes that Trump would begin to unveil trade agreements. However, time is running out, and as of yesterday, the US learned that offering zero tariffs to Japan is off the table for now.

The US dollar is struggling today, while gold has surged by $51 amidst potential uncertainties surrounding the April scenario. Still, it seems US stocks are attempting to regain ground.
