Week 10 NFL Update
Week 9 has wrapped up, and as we move into Week 10, it seems we’re facing a wide receiver crisis. Key players like Laci Rice, Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, and George Pickens are taking a break this week. This will likely impact some fantasy teams, but we’ll manage to get through it.
The teams affected include the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, and Dallas Cowboys.
Notable names sidelined are Laci Rice, Xavier Worthy, Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Chimer Dyke, and George Pickens.
Troy Franklin, Broncos vs. Raiders
Franklin continues to be a handy option, especially with his college quarterback still in the mix. However, last week wasn’t his best; he recorded just four receptions for 27 yards on ten targets. Cortland Sutton had a tough outing too, catching only one of six targets, though he did score a 30-yard touchdown. Franklin may not be the leading receiver in Denver, but he’s frequently discussed as a top option. Fortunately, he has a better matchup this week against the Raiders after facing tougher competition in Houston, not to mention he’s been impressive with three touchdowns and two two-point conversions over the last three games.
Moving on to Wilson, he hyperextended his knee in Week 6 and was considered questionable. He missed Games 7 and 8, but after a bye in Week 9, there’s hope he’ll return to face the Vikings.
Then there’s Thomas, who twisted his ankle in Week 9 and couldn’t continue. The Jaguars have just traded Jacobi Meyers, and with Travis Hunter also out for about a month, the situation looks grim. We need more updates on Thomas’s injury, but if he can’t play, Parker Washington could be facing a challenging situation.
Pearsall injured his knee back in Week 4, expecting to return quickly, but here we are five games later. There’s some optimism around his status, so hopefully, he can get back on the practice field soon.
As for Golden, he hurt his shoulder in Week 9 but seems to have avoided anything serious. He’s now day-to-day and might benefit from the extra rest due to the Monday night game against the Eagles.
Ridley has been struggling with a hamstring injury since Week 6, missing several games since then. His status for this week is still uncertain as he hasn’t practiced yet.
Similarly, Brown has a lingering hamstring issue that kept him out last week. There’s a bit of hope that after a bye week, he could be ready to go against the Packers.
