Football Update
Drake Rondon, Tee Higgins, and Davante Adams each scored at least two touchdowns, contributing to Rondon’s third consecutive victory. Non-PPR formats make these games quite exciting. Rondon has really stepped up as a dependable receiver for the Falcons. It’ll be interesting to see if the newly acquired cornerback Sauce Gardner can bolster the Colts’ pass defense when Rondon and his teammates face off against them this week.
Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, and Dallas Cowboys are mentioned among the teams in the spotlight.
Key players include Laci Rice, Xavier Worthy, Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Chimer Dyke, CeeDee Lamb, and George Pickens.
Wilson had a hyperextended knee in Week 6 and sat out Weeks 7 and 8, but the Week 9 bye could give him some added recovery time. He might return this week to face the Vikings, which would be a boost.
Thomas twisted his ankle in Week 9 and couldn’t get back into the game. Although the Jaguars just traded Jacobi Meyers, they lost Travis Hunter to injury too, and he’ll be sidelined for about a month. There’s a lot still unknown about the extent of Thomas’s injury, but it could heavily impact Parker Washington if he’s out.
Pearsall hurt his knee against the Jaguars in Week 4 but thought he wouldn’t be out long. Now, after missing five games, his status remains uncertain. We should find out if he can return to practice this week; the reports are still a bit murky.
Golden injured his shoulder in Week 9 but seems to have dodged a significant injury. He’s day-to-day and might get an extra day of rest because of Monday night’s game against the Eagles.
Ridley has been dealing with a hamstring issue since Week 6, missing the subsequent weeks 7, 8, and 9. His situation is still up in the air, as he hasn’t practiced yet this week.
Brown missed Week 8 due to a hamstring injury. There’s cautious optimism that he’ll be back after an additional bye week, just in time for the game against the Packers.
