Week 16 Fantasy Football Insights

Jacoby Brissett, Cardinals vs. Falcons

Brissett has consistently delivered strong performances since stepping in for Arizona. He hasn’t scored below 18.7 fantasy points in nine games, and he’s thrown two or more touchdowns in all but one of those outings. Even when up against a tough Texans defense last week, he managed to throw for three touchdowns and gained 249 yards, which is pretty impressive. This week, he faces a much softer Falcons pass defense at home.

On the injury front, Patrick Mahomes apparently tore his ACL last week, which means he’s out for the season and the Chiefs are left scrambling. They’ll now have Gardner Minshew at the helm, which might limit their fantasy scoring potential. However, Laci Rice could still be a viable option for starters.

Meanwhile, Taylor is nursing a groin injury, and Brady Cook took over as quarterback last week. It’s a little uncertain how the QB situation will unfold this week with both Taylor and Justin Fields dealing with injuries. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Smith has been managing multiple injuries, with his shoulder being the latest concern. If he returns, he’ll likely be playing against the Texans. But let’s be honest, no one wants to see the Raiders start just anybody under center.

Jaden Daniels, Commander

Unfortunately, Daniels will be out for the rest of the season. It looks like Marcus Mariota is set to step in for the remaining games, as long as he can avoid injuries.
