Best 35 fantasy football quarterbacks for Week 7

Week 7 Fantasy Football Overview

Welcome to Week 7 of the fantasy football season! Let’s take a moment to reflect on the first six weeks and see how quarterbacks have performed thus far. Leading the pack, we have—drum roll, please—Patrick Mahomes! It’s a bit unexpected since Mahomes and the Chiefs offense haven’t quite clicked lately, yet they still find ways to win. His rushing stats have notably improved this year, totaling 222 yards and four touchdowns. That translates to roughly 629 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns over a full season. However, with Laci Rice coming back this week, we might not see those rushing figures maintain their current pace. But for Mahomes’ owners, that’s probably a good thing.

On the other hand, for those banking on Patriots second-year QB Drake Maye to have a breakout fantasy season, things are looking promising. He’s currently fifth in total fantasy points. Although his rushing figures sit at a modest 138 yards and two touchdowns, his passing ability shines through, allowing him to perform well without needing to rely too heavily on his mobility.

In terms of surprises—or lack thereof—the top five quarterbacks show no significant shocks. It’s clear that high passing numbers give quarterbacks a notable edge in fantasy, and this trend remains consistent.

Moving on to some injury news, Lamar Jackson, who plays for the Ravens, missed the last game due to a hamstring issue sustained in Week 4 against the Chiefs. He’s been absent for Weeks 5 and 6, and with the Ravens currently at 1-5, fans are hoping he can make a comeback this week after their bye.

As for Kyler Murray, he suffered a midfoot sprain and sat out last week’s matchup against the Colts. Whether he’s fit to face the Packers at home is still uncertain. Then again, there’s not much sense in rushing him back if Jacoby Brissett can handle the pressure, especially after a narrow loss to the 5-1 Colts.

Meanwhile, McCarthy has been sidelined since Week 3 due to an ankle injury, but it seems he could return soon. Carson Wentz, on the other hand, has had a mixed performance, looking mediocre at times, and is also dealing with injuries that may delay his return to the field.

Purdy’s toe injury flared up again in Week 4 against the Jaguars, causing him to miss the next two games. There’s hope he might be back for Sunday Night Football against the Falcons, but his availability is still in question.
