Week 16 of Fantasy Football: Lineup Insights

It’s Week 16 of the fantasy football season, and all eyes are on crafting the perfect lineup for a shot at the fantasy championship.

Audric Estime, Saints vs. Jets

The Jets are really struggling, allowing 14 rushing touchdowns in just their last five games. Not great. The Saints, meanwhile, are dealing with injuries to key running backs Alvin Kamara and Devin Neal. As of now, we’re not sure what Friday’s injury report will reveal, but if both players can’t go, Estime could outshine Evan Hull. He stepped up last week while Neal was sidelined, catching the ball three times. Whoever gets the carries for the Saints this week should have a decent shot at success.

Speaking of the Jets, Knight missed last week’s game because of an ankle issue and it looks like he’ll be out for at least this week, possibly the entire season. Emari DeMercado and Michael Carter are set to step in as running backs.

Neal was out for the Week 15 game due to a hamstring injury. During his absence, Estime and Hull shared the workload. As for Kamara, he’s been recovering from an MCL sprain and hasn’t returned to practice yet. He’s not on IR, so there’s still a chance he could be back—hopefully just in time for the final three games.

Marks also left multiple games last week due to an ankle problem but didn’t return. It’s possible he could have come back had the Texans needed him—especially after blowing such a big lead—but he remains a risk this week against the Raiders.

Kamara, who sustained an MCL sprain back in Week 12, missed both Weeks 13 and 14. Neal had been stepping up in his absence, but he too is now dealing with injuries. Since Kamara’s not on IR, he might return, but he really needs to get some practice time in before facing the Panthers.
