Bethenny Frankel Shares Her Favorite Spots in the South of France
Bethenny Frankel has plenty to say about her favorite places in the South of France, especially as she participates in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity this week in Cannes.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum is giving us a peek into her must-visit locations as the star-studded event unfolds over five days. At 54, Frankel has a knack for uncovering some hidden gems that travelers might enjoy.
For starters, she highly recommends the Carlton Cannes, a magnificent hotel established in 1901. Overlooking the Bay of Boulevard Croisette, this five-star establishment boasts its own private beach. Frankel describes it as “the epicenter of Cannes,” highlighting its modern amenities like a beach club and spa, calling it her top choice whenever she visits the area.
Located just a 25-minute drive from Nice Cote d’Azur Airport, Carlton Cannes also features a fitness center and business facilities, making it quite convenient for any traveler.
Frankel is keen to explore more places in Cannes, including Lucia, a beachfront restaurant that adapts its menu with the seasons. She noted that it has a vibe she loves, and the dishes are made from ingredients that capture the essence of freshness.
Next on her list is a trip to St. Tropez, a stunning resort town that has drawn celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Drake. Frankel expresses her excitement about visiting Loulou Ramatuelle, calling it “chic, sexy, and amazing.” She praises its atmosphere and the people-watching, saying it’s perfect for enjoying a meal.
Last year, she took her followers on a small tour of Loulou through TikTok, sharing a delightful lunch experience with her daughter, Bryn. They indulged in various menu items like fried calamari and truffle pizza, while Frankel herself was also caught dancing in a light-hearted moment.
Another spot she’s fond of in St. Tropez is La Reserve a La Plage, situated at Pamperonne Beach. Frankel highlights its beautiful views and vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant specializes in dishes that she still dreams about, including amazing artichokes and truffle chicken.
Interestingly, while she raves about the lobster salad, she notes that the paella seems to be a crowd favorite among guests. It’s interesting how places can have such different culinary identities even when they serve similar types of food.
Frankel also shared that Hotel Lily of the Valley, located in La Croix-Valmer, is another personal favorite of hers. The hotel features breathtaking views and a fantastic spa, with private villa bungalows that offer a sense of wellness. She reflects that it felt like a personal oasis, where guests can enjoy healthy gourmet cuisine and various outdoor fitness sessions.
In her social media interactions, she emphasized the importance of self-love and prioritizing health. There’s something quite relatable about her approach, where recognizing oneself as valuable is often the starting point for feeling good.
