Bette Midler Releases Anti-Trump Music Video
Actress Bette Midler has introduced a new music video for her song “All You Fascists Bound to Lose,” which is a remix of Woody Guthrie’s work and incorporates clips from the “No Kings” rally.
The song’s chorus emphatically proclaims, “Fascists are going to lose,” and takes a direct jab at President Donald Trump, who recently survived his third assassination attempt, with the line, “We’re coming for their ass!”
One part of the lyrics states, “Hey, fascists, let me say this clearly: When you come for the rest of us, we will fight you at the gates. We will fight together until ICE is cut off, like in Minneapolis, and until the midterm elections come.”
The lyrics continue, “Hell is all you cowards hiding behind masks. We’re going to win the midterms, we’re going to go after that guy’s ass! He knows it, he’s gonna lose.” Midler emphasizes the urgency of voting, urging Americans to come together to save the country as the midterms approach.
The music video is filled with scenes from the anti-Trump “No Kings” protests, featuring not only Midler but also actress Barbara Hershey and other notable personalities.
This release coincides with an incident where a gunman, identified as Cole Allen, armed with various weapons, attempted to enter the security checkpoint of the Washington Hilton Hotel during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. The 31-year-old, who previously attended the “No Kings” rally, had penned a manifesto stating his intent to target officials from the Trump administration, a claim confirmed by a senior official.
This incident marks the third known assassination attempt that President Trump has survived in under two years.
In the aftermath of the shooting, Erica Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA and the widow of the late conservative figure Charlie Kirk, was seen leaving the event in distress, saying, “I just want to go home.”
