Betting experts remain skeptical about the sizzling, top-ranked Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers are currently leading baseball with an impressive record of 76-44 going into Friday’s games. They’ve notched up 12 consecutive wins and have an outstanding 26-4 record over the last 30 games. This could very well be one of the best monthly performances in recent MLB history.

However, oddsmakers seem a bit skeptical about the Brewers being the best team in the league right now. Despite their success, Milwaukee holds the third-best odds at +400 to clinch the National League pennant, trailing behind the Dodgers at +210 and the Phillies at +380.

When it comes to the World Series, they sit again at third place with +800 odds, which is interesting considering the weaker competition in the American League. Still, they’re only slightly ahead of teams like the Mariners, Blue Jays, Padres, Tigers, Astros, and Yankees.

It’s tempting to think Vegas might be underestimating them, especially since the Brewers have come a long way from their preseason expectations. Before the season started, they were viewed as a lower-tier team, with odds of +125 to make the postseason and a whopping 50/1 shot at the title.

Their recent success can be attributed to a deep roster filled with lesser-known talents. While stars like Christian Yelich and William Contreras make headlines, contributions from players like Bryce Tarlan and Isaac Collins have been vital as well.

The pitching staff adds to their strength. Freddie Peralta has been solid, and Brandon Woodruff is back from injury. Complementing them are Chad Patrick, Quinn Priester, and rookie Jacob Misiorowski, contributing to a team ERA of 3.59, supported by a robust bullpen.

Sure, it’s hard to say whether the Brewers can maintain this momentum until the season ends. But if they keep pushing forward, it wouldn’t be shocking to see them as contenders for the World Series come October.
