The ruthless world of betting markets that predict the outcome of the 2024 presidential election was not impressed at all with Kamala Harris' demeanor during a CNN interview on Thursday night.

According to the Star sports betting company, the vice president was the favorite to win with odds of 10/11 (52.4%) on Thursday, but by Friday morning he was tied with Donald Trump at 19/20 (51.3%).
During the same period, Trump's odds of winning in November have risen to 20/21 (51.2%) from 21/20 (48.8%) before the interview, according to UK-based bookmaker Betfair.
Thursday's interview with CNN's Dana Bash marked the first time Harris has been asked unscripted questions since being named the Democratic nominee and sidelined by President Joe Biden.
talk NewsweekStar Sports betting analyst William Kejani said: “Vice President Harris is currently tied with Republican candidate Donald Trump at 19/20, down slightly from 10/11 yesterday. The Californian has been 5/6 in recent weeks but has not been able to overtake Trump in the markets.”
“Republicans will be hoping that Trump can tip the balance in his favor before the November election.”
Betfair spokesman Sam Rosbottom was similarly sceptical about Harris' candidacy and how it might affect Trump's expectations.
