Todd Bridges' mother, Betty Bridges, has passed away at the age of 83.
“Betty Alice Bridges passed away peacefully two days ago,” a rep for Betty confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday.
Before her death, Betty had been receiving hospice care at Todd's home in Phoenix, Arizona. On Thursday, Todd shared a photo of his mother on Instagram, writing “1941-2024 Betty Bridges” above the image.

Fellow stars were quick to offer their condolences to Todd, with Lenny Kravitz writing, “Rest in peace my queen,” and Yvette Nicole Brown writing, “Oh my god Todd, I'm so sorry for your loss!”

A rep for Betty said she played a key role in Todd's recovery from addiction: “Her tough love and unwavering support highlights the huge impact family and friends have had in helping him through the toughest battle of his life.”

Betty is a celebrated actress, best known for her roles in 'Good Times,' 'ER,' and '2 Broke Girls.' She also appeared in 'Quincy M.E.,' 'Different Strokes,' and 'Wonder Woman.'

She was a manager and acting coach in Hollywood. Betty was one of the co-founders of the acting school, Cain Bridge Academy, which she eventually moved to her home in Los Angeles and began teaching lessons for free to neighborhood kids.
Among her students were Nia Long, sisters Regina King and Rayna King, and Sanaa Lathan.

Betty is survived by her sons, Todd, Jimmy Bridges and Zerondrick Hubbard, her daughter, Velda Bridges Prpic, and 12 grandchildren.
