David Boreanaz Remembers Betty White’s Humor
Betty White had a knack for comedic timing, both in her performances and everyday conversations. David Boreanaz, who appeared with her on “Bones” back in 2015, recently reminisced about their first meeting.
During a panel at the Terveres Festival in Los Angeles, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of “Bones,” Boreanaz reflected on their initial encounter, responding to comments from co-star TJ Thyne.
Boreanaz recalled, “She arrived at the diner, and they brought her in—as Mr. White—I mean, they really rolled out the red carpet for her.” He continued, “She greeted everyone and was so warm. Then she looked at me and said, ‘Holy s–, I want to do an f– you.’ I just burst out laughing.”
Emily Deschanel, another cast member, didn’t exactly remember the incident but seemed amused. She mentioned, “I’m not saying it didn’t happen, it’s just that I missed it. But that’s amazing.” Co-star Tamara Taylor humorously dubbed White “the legendary toilet mouth.”
Beyond her iconic roles in “The Golden Girls” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” White was known for making memorable guest appearances on various series like “30 Rock” and “Boston Legal.”
Betty White passed away on December 31, 2021, at 99. Jeff Widjas, her friend and agent, confirmed the news at the time, expressing his belief that she would live forever. “I miss her so much, and so does the animal world she cherished,” he said.
In a 2018 interview, White shared her philosophy on a long and happy life. She suggested that it wasn’t just about indulging in her favorite treats like vodka and hot dogs, but about maintaining a positive outlook. “Enjoy life,” she advised. “I emphasize the positive, not the negative. It seems simple, but it’s true; there’s always something good to focus on if you look for it.”
