Experts in the real estate industry predict that significant changes are on the horizon for the US housing market in the coming months.
Realtor.com highlights that those seeking “a captivating mix of lifestyle appeal, relative affordability, and good access to nearby economic centers” are turning their attention to the suburbs of Boston.
Beverly, Massachusetts, with the zip code 01915, has claimed the top spot in the 2025 Hottest Zips report. Located about 30 minutes northeast of Boston, homes in this area are listed at prices that are 4.6 times the national average, with a median listing price of about $746,000 – and properties are spending around 16 days on the market.
“In a year where affordability and limited inventory continue to challenge buyers, this zip code really stands out for its balance of value and livability,” said Daniel Hale, chief economist at Realtor.com.
The hottest areas tend to be in the “Northeast and Midwest regions” of the US, Hale notes. The trend appears to be driven by buyers from high-cost metropolitan areas seeking some relief without giving up proximity to work or amenities.
Soaring Popularity in Orlando
Orlando is also witnessing organic growth as the city marks a significant milestone.
Many regions, like Beverly, boast newer homes compared to surrounding areas. Even amid challenging market conditions, there’s a notable emphasis on the role of new construction in catering to today’s buyer demands.

The top five also include Malton in New Jersey, Leominster in Massachusetts, and both Ballwin and Wayne. It’s interesting to note that Leominster and Ballwin appeared in last year’s Top 10 as well. Realtor.com points out that “local buyers are increasingly outpacing out-of-town profits” in the zip codes 01915, 63021, and 07470.
Median household incomes for typical buyers in these areas sit around $114,000, with average credit scores of 759. Generally, buyers are making down payments ranging from $42,000 to $143,000. The average age of household leaders in these ten zip codes is about 56 years old.
Interestingly, Beverly Golf and Tennis Club is a prominent feature in the area, further enhancing its appeal. This top-rated market has quite a lot to offer in terms of amenities and community.
Adeline Matton, president of Alagety Real Estate, expressed her excitement, stating, “We are thrilled that Beverly MA has been named America’s hottest postal code by Realtor.com.” She emphasized the attractive features of Beverly: beautiful coastlines, local beaches, and a lively arts and dining scene.
