Beverly LaHaye, wife of the late evangelist Tim LaHaye (co-author of the famous book) left behind Founder of the book series) Women Concerned about America (CWA)passed away at the age of 94.
LaHaye was born in Detroit and came from a poor family, but his dedication to the Lord respected the Bible’s teaching that faith is manifested through works. As LaHaye discovers, it makes little sense when the Holy Spirit is involved.
About 45 years ago, LaHaye was concerned about the cultural feminist movement, which didn’t seem to support the needs and desires of average American women. And it did not respect God’s divine purpose for women. This “pro-female” concept only crushes souls, destroys lives, and disrupts the nuclear family unit, a unit of one man and one woman for life, creating and raising children to glorify Jesus. .
rear Watching a 1978 interview featuring Betty FriedanLaHaye, the founder of the National Women’s Abortion Alliance, knew she had to act. Her response was to create CWA, an organization dedicated to fearlessly resisting legislation in Washington, D.C., that would block women’s chances of becoming all that God had created them to be. She and her fellow members were powerful lobbyists and spoke out in Congress many times on policy.
In fact, she is known for her dynamic role in drafting several Republican presidential policies and bills. Including the Reagan and Bush administrations.. LaHaye also endorsed several conservative Supreme Court justices, including incumbent Clarence Thomas.
of C.W.A. continues to be an active and powerful organization, and now has chapters all over the country. LaHaye served as CWA president until 2010, a position currently held by Penny Young Nance.
LaHaye’s voice endured the ever-changing social structure of American society, and her Christian activism and tenacious courage in support of the gospel continue to influence women today.
