New York-based colorist Rita Hazan has been tasked with transforming the looks of some of the most iconic hair styles of A-listers, including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, and even Queen B, AKA Beyoncé (Hazan has spent the past 11 years taking the singer from a tanned teddy-bear blonde to the richest brunette shade). “Beyoncé is very adventurous, and I love that,” says Hazan, 50, who recently dyed Sydney Sweeney’s blonde locks to perfection.
A true New Yorker, this dyed (and bleached) diva wears mostly black and favors a classic red lip and black eyeliner to go with it. “I always have at least five bottles of black eyeliner,” the Upper East Side salon owner and founder of her eponymous hair product line tells Alexa. “I never want to run out of black eyeliner.
