Former President Joe Biden aide confirmed that the administration had “gaslighted” Americans.
Michael Larosa, a former White House aide and longtime press secretary for Jill Biden, admitted that the campaign had been aware from the first day that the age of 81 was a problem. Pack reported.
“It's a little harder and a little tougher to hide me. Every politician, every person, every person, every person tries to hide his age. We've always been aware from the first day that that age was the problem,” Larosa said Wednesday. American University Science Institute Seminar.
“There are some truthful things, like Gaslight. There was a lot of vote denials. And I use the term Gaslight because that's what they were doing, their campaigns, their former colleagues. The message to everyone was to make sure you let people know that it was too early.”
Biden was plagued by countless negative polls up to Election Day amid widespread fears that his growing moments of verbal gaffes, confusion and physical stumbling were signs of aging and cognitive decline.
At the time, the White House repeatedly claimed that he was healthy.
But behind the scenes, the Biden campaign was afraid to riggle him, according to LaRosa.
“The president's team was scared of improvisation, scripted, immature, unskilled, unchoreographic, anything, not able to compete in the attention economy,” he said.
“They couldn't do that. They had no idea. And they had no Biden or a ship. He loves television. He loves to do things. It was trajectory that he didn't trust his candidate.
“Biden needed the press. When he needed them the most, they didn't trust him, they gave him the back of doubt, they gasped their feet and never took it off. And he was politically dead.”
By increasing his mental decline and pressure on the disastrous vote, Biden ultimately withdrew from the race in 2024, supporting then-President Kamala Harris.
The former aide was enrolled when asked by his host puck journalist Tara Palmeli. JakTapper of the new book CNN co-authored a new book detailing the length of the Biden administration and its allies engaged in the “concealment” of mental decline.
Tupper was blown up on social media given that CNN anchor repeatedly dismissed concerns about the then-president's age during the campaign.
