President Joe Biden admitted in an interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur that he campaigned from his basement in 2020, according to a transcript of the interview.
He said during an interview:
I don’t blame them, as you probably noticed as the pandemic was starting to set in. They, they were quick to criticize me for saying, “Biden should go back into the tunnel and campaign from his basement again.” But I set up a theater in Delaware. I needed some of that furniture in Delaware because I could be on TV from there, I could appear, I could do it. So, since I was campaigning from my basement, I decided to send this to Delaware.
Mr. Xu replied, “I see.”
Biden went on to say, “That’s basically what it is.”
Some liberals are encouraging Mr. Biden, 81, to campaign from his basement in 2024.
TV host Bill Maher recently said that Biden should be removed from the campaign because he’s a “mess” and that all he had to do was “a bad piece of fish,” “slip on the ice once,” or “one gaffe.” I joked that it was over.
But other experts are seriously encouraging Biden to do so.
CNN’s Van Jones recently said: claimed Biden should remain “hidden,” he said.
“If I were Biden, I would go into hiding,” Jones said. “I’ll tell you why, but he doesn’t inspire confidence. He’s not a good messenger for himself.”
