President Joe Biden slammed former President Donald Trump as a “convicted felon” during Thursday night’s debate.
Biden chose this rhetoric in a rebuttal to a question about the January 6 riot.

“My retaliation will be successful, but when you talk about convicted felons, his son is a very high level felon,” Trump said. “His son has been convicted and will likely be convicted many times in the future.”
The lawsuit further argued that Hunter Biden “should have been convicted earlier” but that the Biden Justice Department “allowed the statute of limitations to lapse on the most important matters.”
Trump later said Biden “can be convicted as soon as he leaves office.”
Trump also maintained his innocence, declaring, “I have done nothing wrong.”
The 45th president has repeatedly denounced the corporate records lawsuit brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as “election interference,” saying in May that “it’s all coming from Washington.”
“It all comes from Washington. They have representatives. [representiaves] “As you all know, we don’t have anyone like that here,” he told reporters at the courthouse on May 10.
