President Biden on Tuesday called for his predecessor to be “politically” locked up during an event in New Hampshire's capital, a move that would have jailed then-Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in 2016. This is a similar expression to that used by former President Trump.
In Concord, Biden said Trump wanted to eliminate his political opponents and detractors and touted his own health care and prescription drug cost legislation.
“he He believes he has a version of the Supreme Court's ruling on immunity that allows him to actually remove, physically remove, shoot or kill anyone he believes is a threat to him, if necessary. ” Biden told supporters.

“I know it sounds weird. I feel like if I said this five years ago, you'd lock me up,” he added. “We have to lock him up. Lock him up politically, lock him out. That's what we have to do.”
Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris, have repeatedly warned voters that President Trump is a threat to democracy. Trump's supporters blame similar rhetoric for the two assassination attempts that claimed his life.

Biden's comments were similar to Trump's repeated calls for her to be jailed during Trump's 2016 campaign against Clinton.
“Lock her up! Lock her up!” chants became commonplace at Trump rallies.
Biden also said that Republicans who support Trump have anti-democratic attitudes.
