President Joe Biden appeared to confuse the Israeli port city of Haifa with the Palestinian town of Rafah in the Gaza Strip during an interview Wednesday in his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The president appeared to be trying to take credit for putting pressure on Israel in response to a question about how he responded to anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian protesters who had been stalking him for months.
Biden is trying to pressure Israel not to enter Rafah, a city in the Gaza Strip on the Egyptian border where the last Hamas battalion and remaining Israeli hostages are believed to be.

Haifa is considered the third largest city in Israel after Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It is characterized by its large harbor, which is a good natural harbor. It is also seen as an example of coexistence between Arabs and Jews, and is the headquarters of the Baha’i faith.
Israel has announced it will invade Rafah to destroy remaining Hamas forces and said it is preparing plans to evacuate Palestinian civilians who have taken refuge in the city from other parts of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli government reiterated to Breitbart News on Thursday that it had set a date for the attack on Rafah, but did not say when it would be.
