President Joe Biden on Sunday confused Israel's offensive against the Houthis in Yemen with the ongoing attack on East Coast ports.
After returning from a weekend in Rehoboth Beach, a reporter asked him, “Do you have any comments to make about the strikes in Yemen, Mr. President?” “I've talked to both sides. They have to resolve the strike. I support collective bargaining efforts. I think they will resolve the strike,” Biden said.
A White House press memo called Biden's attire “attractive,” but did not mention Biden's gaffe.
After speaking at the Quad leadership meeting in Delaware last week, Biden again made a gaffe when he lost track of who he was supposed to introduce.
According to White House records, he was supposed to say: “So, I want to thank you again for being here. I appreciate you coming a long way to get here. And challenges will come, but the world will change, because the Quad will continue to And I'm going to hand it over to you now, because I believe it will continue to exist. And I want to start by commending Prime Minister Modi.”
Instead he said: “Well, I'd like to thank everyone for coming here. Now, who would you like to introduce next?”
Then this man in his 80s shouted, “Who's next?” Then the announcer came to his rescue and said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the Prime Minister of the Republic of India.''
Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential race after losing his train of thought and struggling to make a statement following his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump. Up until then, Democrats had defended his mental strength and criticized questions about his age.
