Biden demonstrates selective memory in newly released special counsel interview.

A deeper controversy seems to lurk within the late audio recordings of special advisor Robert Hur, who interviewed President Biden in October 2023, suggesting issues beyond Biden’s cognitive capabilities.

Four months ago, Hur was involved in indicting Biden, similar to Jack Smith’s actions regarding former President Donald Trump.

The initial 13-minute segment of the HuR tape, released on Friday, shows Biden struggling to recall key dates. This narrative aligns with Hur’s assertion that Biden is guilty but unfit for trial.

Yet, the full audio paints a different picture. Biden tends to adjust facts to his advantage, often filibustering whenever he senses a prosecutorial trap being set. It’s almost like he knows exactly what he’s doing.

His attorney, Bob Bauer, who is one of five lawyers present, frequently jumps in to interrupt Biden, cracking sarcastic jokes at the prosecutor’s expense, which only adds to the chaotic atmosphere.

At one point, Hur commented, “It looks like you have a photo recall,” after Biden dedicated 12 minutes to detailing the layout of his home.

The prosecutor’s frustration is palpable, especially given the constraints they face, including a five-hour time limit. Biden, meanwhile, reminds them of a recent phone conversation he had with Bibi Netanyahu regarding the October 7 attack on Israel, asserting he was engaged in crucial matters.

Ultimately, Biden is being dishonest. He presents himself as upright and honorable, denying possession of classified materials for personal use.

However, a substantial amount was found in his home, garage, and the Biden Penn Center office. Prosecutors even have a recorded exchange with his ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer, where Biden mentioned discovering “all sorts of things” hidden in his Virginia residence.

Under non-oath questioning, Biden claimed there was no connection to the Vice President’s residence from January 7, 2017, or the transfer of classified materials into his new Virginia home, asserting that his staff acted independently.

Yet, Hur’s report indicates that Biden was “personally involved in the move.” It states he selected items and directed packing, being present during the process. Witnesses saw him “moving the box” in Virginia over the weekend of the move.

This evidence paints a vivid picture.

Now they face a tough choice. Will they hold a sitting president criminally responsible, labeling him a pathological liar and igniting a significant scandal and constitutional crisis?

Or will they use his age and mental state as justifications for not pressing charges?

It’s evident which road may be less complicated.
