Biden Doesn’t Have Knowledge, Function, Ability to Unite Country

On CNN’s “The Source” broadcast Monday, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) said President Joe Biden is not someone who has the knowledge, capabilities, and ability to unite the country, but rather is too left-wing. “I’m being pushed out,” he said. And he wants Biden to return to his old self.

Host Caitlan Collins said, “You also said you want a president who has the knowledge, the ability to do the job, and the ability to unite this country. Joe Biden is that candidate.” Is that so?”

Manchin said, “Yes, that’s the Joe Biden that I used to know. I’m a big fan of him and his allies, he’s gone too far to the left, they’re pushing him and pulling him and all that.” But America is not there. Our country is not there. So if that’s possible, the Joe Biden we saw in 2020 will be the same in 2024. I hope this is the Joe Biden we see in 2020.”

Collins then asked Manchin if he supported Biden.

“I don’t support anyone right now,” Manchin responded. Let’s see what happens. There’s still plenty of time here. I’m going to do everything in my power to bring them back to the center and show them the strength of this country and where the voting bloc of this country is. ”

Collins then asked what people should read from Manchin’s lack of support for Biden. Manchin responded: I’m just trying to do everything I can to ensure that the heart of this country, the centre-left and centre-right, has a path forward to be represented. That’s where decisions are made and where people live their lives. That’s what they want their government to look like. They don’t want extremes, and what we’re seeing is extremes. Donald Trump is an extremist. So there [are] People moving in that direction.i still believe there [are] Good Republicans and Democrats alike want this centrist approach to governing. ”
