Biden Flying Illegal Aliens, Deported Under Trump, Back to U.S.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reportedly sending illegal immigrants who were deported by former President Donald Trump’s administration back to the United States on planes.

Biden’s Department of Homeland Security is implementing a little-known program. Washington Free BeaconAn illegal immigrant from Cameroon who was deported by the Trump administration is now being flown back to the US, despite his asylum claim being found to be invalid.

of Free BeaconJoseph Simonson Reports:

The Biden administration is returning to the U.S. Cameroonians whose asylum claims were deemed invalid and who were previously deported. That’s according to interviews with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and internal agency memos reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. [Emphasis added]

The program has not been made public but appears to be a response to a February 2022 Human Rights Watch report that found dozens of Cameroonians had been deported between 2019 and 2021. They then allegedly faced ill-treatment from the government. It is estimated that between 80 and 90 Cameroonians were deported during this period. [Emphasis added]

But now, current and former ICE officials say some are being returned to the U.S. under a largely unprecedented program. It turns out that none of the people deported under the previous administration had valid asylum claims in the United States. [Emphasis added]

Such a program is unusual but not unprecedented for Biden’s Department of Homeland Security.

As Breitbart News reported, in December 2021, the Department of Homeland Security returned two Haitian illegal immigrants who had been deported under the Trump administration to the U.S. to have their asylum claims reviewed.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has repeatedly said that “fairness” and “justice” for immigrants are central to his department’s mission.

“Unlawful presence in the United States alone is not grounds for immigration enforcement action… it is also a matter of justice and fairness,” Mayorkas said in January 2022. Later that year, Mayorkas reiterated that “fairness” towards immigrants is a “core founding principle” of the United States.

“This is all about achieving equity, which is at the heart of our nation’s founding principles,” Mayorkas said at the time.

Biden’s parole plan is just one aspect of his administration’s goal of seeking “justice and fairness” for immigrants wanting to come to the United States.

From January 2023 to May 2024, the Department of Homeland Security brought about 1.1 million immigrants to the U.S. to secure parole. In other words, the administration is importing roughly one parole immigrant for every three U.S. births.
