Appearing on Fox News Channel on Friday, Gov. Kristi Noem (R-South Dakota) responded to the controversy between Texas and the Biden administration over the handling of the U.S.-Mexico border.
Noem told FNC host Trace Gallagher that she supports Texas and that the Biden administration is trying to remake America.
“We need leadership,” Noem said. “Leadership has consequences. Congress can do that too, but when you have a president who ignores federal laws, the laws Congress passes have no effect. The White House has federal and immigration laws in place. We need a president who respects the United States and wants law and order. What Joe Biden is doing is fundamentally reshaping America. What will America look like in one more year, two more years under Joe Biden? If you want to know what’s going on, look at Europe. Look at what happened there and the misery they endure.”
“It will never be the same,” he continued. “My question is, if we don’t stand up now, if we don’t protect our borders now, if we don’t protect our country now, where are we going to go? What country is better? Why don’t we stand here right now and protect this country, defend it, and fix what’s broken? And the one who’s broken right now is Joe Biden.”
