On this week's “Fox News Sunday” broadcast, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance said President Joe Biden's administration has left a “dumpster fire” on the incoming administration of Donald Trump.
“We wish Joe Biden all the best, but the fact is he left us in a dumpster fire that affected not only the border, but the economy. First of all, he left us with a lot of… We know prices are too high for Americans, and we must work every day to stabilize prices for American families.”
He added, “Everything he's bragging about ignores the fact that the federal debt has increased by trillions of dollars. In times of peace, he left us with national bond yields. But that means how do we finance that debt? We have to sell bonds, which have become more expensive because of Joe Biden's policies.”
Vance added: “Oil prices have had one problem after another, and the last two months of the Joe Biden administration have been due in part to decisions Joe Biden has made in the past few weeks.” The fact is, he has not put the American people in good economic shape, which is why they chose Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States, and we have a lot of work to do. I'm fundamentally unchanged, and you know this, I'll always remain an optimist about this country, but I think optimism has to start with a little bit of realism. The real truth is that Joe Biden left us with a dumpster fire. Donald Trump is going to have to put it out there, but he's good at doing it. ”
