Biden Judge Stops DHS from Removing Egyptian Family of Alleged Terrorist

Judge Blocks Deportation of Family of Suspected Terrorist

A U.S. District Court judge, appointed by former President Biden, has halted the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from deporting the family of Mohamed Sabri Soliman, a 45-year-old illegal immigrant accused of carrying out anti-Semitic terrorist activities in Boulder, Colorado.

This week, DHS Executive Director Kristi Noem announced that Soliman, along with his wife and five children, all Egyptian citizens, had been placed in federal custody. The intention, according to Noem, was to deport the family from the U.S.

However, late Wednesday, Judge Gordon Gallagher, serving on the U.S. District Court for Colorado, intervened to prevent the deportation of Soliman’s family back to Egypt. He expressed concerns that deporting the family without proper procedure could lead to irreparable harm and emphasized the urgency of the situation.

Currently, DHS is still holding Soliman’s family—his 41-year-old wife, Hayam Salah Ahmed Ahmed Elgamal, their 18-year-old daughter Habiba Mohamed Sabry Farag Soliman, and their two minor sons and daughters—at a federal facility in Dilly, Texas.

Noem remarked, “DHS and ICE have taken the family of suspected Boulder terrorists and illegal alien Mohamed Soliman into custody.” She also stated, “This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We are investigating how much his family knew about this attack and whether they supported it. I continue to pray for the victims and their families. Justice will be served.”

Soliman faces charges of attempted murder, accused of using makeshift flamethrowers and Molotov cocktails against individuals who were gathered in Boulder for a pro-Israel protest. A video from the incident shows him shouting “Free Palestine.”

He entered the U.S. in August 2022 on a tourist visa, which expired in February 2023. Despite this, he remained in the country, making him an illegal alien due to federal law. Notably, Biden’s administration did issue him a work permit in March 2023, but it also expired that same month.

Interestingly, Soliman had attempted to enter the U.S. 20 years prior but was denied a visa.
