Biden loafer victim and free speech advocate Jolyne Meszaros spoke to Breitbart News at the Turning Point USA Young Women’s Leadership Summit (YWLS) about what motivated her to reach out to former President Donald Trump in her fight to defend free speech, revealing how leftists are already targeting political opponents who are regular citizens.
“If they can do that to him [Trump]”They can do the same to us,” Meszaros said, correcting the record, “Not only has it already happened to members of the public, it’s been happening to me for nearly four years now.”
The homeschooling mother explained that she was being sued by a White House staffer for President Joe Biden “for putting a Trump flag on the side of Biden’s bus as it traveled through Texas in 2020,” and said there were “no criminal charges filed” in the case.
What’s particularly noteworthy about Meszaros’ story is that she hadn’t even decided who she would vote for in 2020, but the reactions of some of her friends and Biden’s legal actions have pushed her further to the right.
“Looking back, it’s pretty crazy because in 2020, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to vote for Biden or Trump. I’m really embarrassed to say this, but I was so removed from the reality of what was really going on – the attacks on families, the attacks on children,” she said.
“At the time, my son was in public school and I was shopping at Target and my friend was saying he wanted to vote for Biden and my dad was saying he wanted to vote for Trump, so I started thinking, ‘Who am I going to vote for?'” she explained.
“So I told my friends, ‘I’m going to vote for Trump,’ and they shocked me with my first experience of cancel culture. They told me you’re entitled and a white supremacist and you need to sit back and shut up. So I was like, ‘I need new friends. This is weird,'” she said, explaining that she noticed the Trump train and boat parades that have been taking place around the country, and in her home state of Texas, to show support for former President Trump, and thought it would be “a great place to make new friends.”
“We had only been in the parade for three weeks when the Biden-Harris campaign bus came through New Braunfels. We thought it would be fun to run alongside them and show our support for President Trump. Little did we know our lives would change forever,” she said.
“Listen, I’ve always been like, ‘Hey, I picked the wrong mom,’ because I have a constitutional right to free speech and I realized they were violating that. I didn’t know that until I got sued and my neighbor was like, ‘This is free speech. How can they do this?'” she said, explaining that the issue has moved her further to the right.
She went on to say that loafers are “a tool used by the left to silence Americans, intimidate political opponents, stifle free speech, and interfere in our elections.”
“We’ve seen it from many angles in President Trump’s impeachment trial. They dragged us around, saying President Trump incited us as a precursor to the January 6th insurrection. Yes, that’s a false label. And then in the 14th Amendment hearings, the same expert witnesses they hired to portray us as political extremists, domestic terrorists, [and] “The Christian nationalists are the same ones who are testifying in these hearings that Trump doesn’t deserve to be on the ballot, so you can see how intricately they’ve woven this narrative, and we’re just collateral victims,” she added.
