Biden Looks for July 4th Celebrations to Energise Reelection Campaign

Today marks the day President Joe Biden attempts to spring to the forefront of the national consciousness as Fourth of July celebrations take place across the country.

The president’s day will begin with a White House barbecue at 5 p.m.

The president and first lady will host an event for active-duty military personnel and their families on the South Lawn, and will try to appear energetic and proactive for the late-afternoon start time.

For the octogenarian presidential candidate, given the awkward days that have followed his dismal showing in the first presidential debate, his only options are to keep fighting or simply quit and walk away.

So Independence Day was chosen as the time for a fresh start, to quickly reassure the public that Trump is still capable of doing his job amid growing support for Vice President Kamala Harris to succeed him in the November election.

Reuters Report Harris is the leading candidate to run for president if Biden decides not to continue his reelection campaign, according to seven senior Biden campaign, White House and Democratic National Committee officials familiar with current discussions on the issue.

Biden, who will turn 86 at the end of his second term, has planned a long list of events next week – all starting on Independence Day – to counter that perception and prove to skeptics he still has what it takes to hold onto the nation’s highest office.

The president is scheduled to host his family at the White House’s annual Fourth of July celebration on Thursday.

He will then be interviewed by ABC News on Friday and fly to Wisconsin the same day to attend a rally with supporters.

On Sunday, Biden and his wife, Jill, will be in Pennsylvania to address the National Education Association.

Next week, President Trump will host dozens of world leaders at the NATO summit in Washington and hold an unprecedented solo press conference.

The long list of activities comes as Democrats are frustrated by Trump’s stumbles during the debates, causing panic among many Democratic Party officials, donors, voters and media members.

As Breitbart News reported, they question whether Biden can serve another term as president after running a campaign riddled with errors.
