Biden makes stunning omission while claiming no troops died ‘anywhere in the world’ on his watch

Biden claimed during Thursday night’s simulcast of CNN’s presidential debate that he is the only president “in this century” and “in this decade” who “hasn’t had a soldier killed anywhere in the world,” but he made no acknowledgement of the 13 combat deaths during his administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Biden was answering questions about the economy from CNN debate moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, and he addressed former President Trump’s tax cuts and the economy under the previous administration.

“The best economy in the world? He’s the only one who thinks that,” Biden said of Trump. “I don’t know anybody else who thinks we have the best economy in the world.”

“He delivered the biggest tax cut in history ($2 trillion), but he also suddenly created the biggest deficit of any president,” Biden continued.

But Biden turned his attention to Afghanistan.

Biden said Trump had “done nothing” on Afghanistan.

“The fact is, I’m the only president this century, this decade, who has had no soldiers killed anywhere in the world like he has,” Biden said.

But amid the Biden administration’s dire withdrawal of U.S. troops and assets from Afghanistan, 13 U.S. soldiers were killed on August 26, 2021, outside Hamid Karzai International Airport.
