Biden makes unexpected trip to Walter Reed, says he’s getting his physical

President Biden told reporters on Wednesday that he will undergo an annual medical exam amid mounting questions about his mental health as he prepares to take office for a second term in November.

“I’m going to Walter Reed for a medical checkup,” the 81-year-old president yelled as he walked toward the Marine One helicopter on the White House lawn.

The doctor’s appointment was not announced in advance and was not on the president’s schedule given to senior reporters the day before.
