President Joe Biden repeated the “good people hoax” of Charlottesville in an interview with CBS News’ Robert Costa. Sunday Morning.
Since launching his campaign in April 2019, Biden has falsely claimed that then-President Donald Trump praised the neo-Nazis who rioted in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017. In fact, as the transcripts make clear, Trump condemned the neo-Nazis.
Breitbart News confronted Biden himself in 2019 about deliberately misquoting Donald Trump, to no avail.
This hoax has been exposed multiple times on live television.

Costa did not correct or refute the president’s comments, but the president continued to link Charlottesville to the January 6 riots.
Instead, Costa, a former reporter for a conservative newspaper, National Reviewasked the president whether he believed there would be a peaceful transfer of power, suggesting a connection between Charlottesville and future violence.
The “very fine people” fiction is one of the most persistent lies in American politics. It is believed fervently by Democrats and endorsed by journalists, many of whom either don’t know it’s a lie or are happy to tolerate it being repeated despite it being a lie.
This is the basis for many of Trump’s claims of racism, but no matter how many times Biden repeats it, it was never true and still is not true.
