The soon-to-be-expired Biden administration is acting as if a foreign invading force is taking over and will need to burn down the house to stop the “invader” from succeeding.

In the past few weeks, decisions made by the outgoing president and others in his administration have raised the level of cynicism several notches. Hunter Biden was pardoned first, followed by approximately 1,500 other former Pennsylvania judges who used private prisons to incarcerate juveniles and appropriate the profits. Pennsylvania Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro rescinded the pardon, saying Biden's judgment in the “Kids for Cash” scandal was “completely wrong.”

Among other questionable pardons and pardons was one Biden issued to former Comptroller Rita Crundwell of Dixon, Illinois. Crundwell was convicted in 2013 and sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for stealing about $54 million over 20 years from the town of 15,000 people. It is said to have been the largest local fraud in U.S. history. Crundwell, now 71, admitted to embezzling from the city and using the stolen funds to support a lavish lifestyle. According to WTTW, “Authorities only recovered $40 million in city money stolen from court settlements, the auditor's work, and proceeds from the liquidation of Crundwell's assets.

Mr. Biden has been trying to sell off steel fencing ordered by the former Trump administration to build a wall and secure the southern border. These materials are paid for with taxpayers' money. This is part of what appears to be a cynical plan to frustrate the incoming Trump team and make the job of border control more difficult. I don't remember any changes like this in our history.

Then along came drones. The government insists they did not come from a hostile country of the United States and are not a threat to public safety. They also claim to know nothing about themselves. If they don't know anything, how can they be sure that they are not from a foreign organization and will not harm people?

Bernie Sanders believes Hunter Biden pardon sets 'dangerous' precedent

Drones have been spotted in the skies over New Jersey and New York for several weeks, and recently over California and Nevada. A woman on a talk show in Washington, D.C., said she and her daughter witnessed 30 drones flying over southern Maryland. Former Maryland Republican Gov. Larry Hogan posted a photo of what he claims is a drone flying over his home in suburban Washington, D.C. With no reliable information coming out of the Biden administration, conspiracy theorists are in full swing, with accusations of a cover-up.

Democratic New York Mayor Eric Adams has said he will work with the incoming Trump administration to remove illegal immigrants from the country, even in “sanctuary cities,” but other Democratic mayors and governors have said They have promised to resist deportation even for those who have committed crimes. They want to make their cities and states “against Trump.”

Incoming “border czar” Tom Homan has promised to send teams of operatives into recalcitrant cities and states controlled by Democratic politicians to remove immigrants. A Fox News poll from October shows they have the support of an overwhelming majority of Americans.

That doesn't seem to be a problem for the Biden administration, which has five weeks left. They are acting as if Vice President Kamala Harris, not President Trump, won the election and voters can be ignored.

The second Trump administration will have a lot of work to do. If their promised policies are shown to work, they hope public support will remain high as they and the Republican Congressional majority seek to reverse the damage caused by the Biden administration. It turns out.
