Biden Wants to Ban Presidential Debate Audiences

President Joe Biden’s campaign has called for a ban on spectators during his scheduled presidential debate with former President Donald Trump.

The request appears aimed at reducing the risk of Biden protesters attending the event. Anti-Israel demonstrators often appear at Biden’s public events.

Debate should be held for the benefit of American voters watching on TV or at home, without loud, disruptive partisans and donors wasting valuable debate time with raucous endorsements and jeering spectacle. Not as entertainment for direct audience with anyone.

As was the case with the first televised debate in 1960, a television studio staffed only by candidates and moderators is a better and more cost-effective way to focus solely on the interests of voters. .

I don’t think so. It was more of a show than a debate because it was a fair allocation of time,” Crain argued. “That’s always true for Donald Trump on stage.”
