Biden Was ‘Absolutely Too Late’ Condemning Anti-Israel College Protests

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that it was “completely too late” for President Joe Biden to condemn college campus protests against Israel’s war against Hamas. ” he said.

Host Jonathan Karl said: I saw President Biden come out. I mean, you think it’s too late, but he came out and unequivocally condemned the violence. He denounced anti-Semitism. Do you think you would agree with his actions, even if in your opinion it was too late?

Cotton said: I think you misunderstood what he did. Yes, it was completely too late. It was two weeks after these pro-Hamas fanatics took over many campuses and established these little Gazas. Second, he didn’t talk specifically about what they were saying or doing. They advocate a final solution. They are telling Jews to go back to where they came from. They are spray painting vile anti-Semitic hate on buildings. ”

Additionally, “He said there should be no anti-Semitism or abstract hate speech or Islamophobia. John, where are there encampments on campus spreading Islamophobia? Why is Joe Biden doing this? So ambiguous? Why is he spreading Islamophobia with thousands of students setting up mini Gaza Strips across America who engage in hate speech against Jews, assaults on Jews, and breaking the law? Must we draw a moral equivalence with the imaginary encampment?”
