Speaking at a working session at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) summit on Wednesday, Biden warned that Russia’s wartime activities in Ukraine are backed by China, Iran and North Korea.

Biden added that member states’ pledges to increase contributions show the world that the arms agreement is not falling apart.

“This new pledge sends an unmistakable message to the world that all NATO members are committed to doing their part to strengthen the alliance,” Biden said. “We can and will defend every inch of NATO territory, and we will do so together. And that’s a clear message we’re sending to the world that we’re investing in the power of our future, so that NATO will always be prepared to face any threat.”

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has pledged to provide Germany with American-made long-range missiles to bolster deterrence in Europe.
