The inevitable push to remove the current president from office will likely be far more beneficial to Black families in the long run than any of the accomplishments Joe Biden touted during Thursday night’s CNN debate.
Decades from now, children yet to be born will talk about the CNN presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump the same way they did about the 1960 debate between Kennedy and Nixon: The former president was relaxed, energetic and disciplined; the current president could barely hear or finish his thoughts.
Until black men and women show as much devotion to one another as we show to the Democratic Party, black families will never be treated as a top priority.
At one point, the moderator asked Biden what he had done for black voters, to which he replied, series He has a long list of talking points about black unemployment, small business and homeownership. His physical and cognitive limitations are clear, and appeals to his most loyal supporters may not be enough to save his 2024 campaign.
For progressives, much of the debate in the coming days and weeks will be about who the Democrats choose to replace Joe Biden. It’s clear that the Democrats have no interest in putting Vice President Kamala Harris at the forefront. California Governor Gavin Newsom has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Biden. The problem for Democrats is that they cannot afford to alienate black women, their most loyal constituency and the Democratic Party’s base. The Party’s “core”While choosing Newsom over Harris may feel like an act of disrespect to black women, it may be exactly what’s needed to break the stranglehold the left has had on black communities for decades.
There’s a rumor going around on the right that Trump will gain more support from black voters, especially men. If 2020 is any indication of what’s to come in this election, we’ll see left-leaning black politicians, journalists, entertainers, and professors all coming out to try to convince black men that voting for Trump is an act of racial disloyalty. But the message is: Democratic Party Push aside the current vice president and governor of California, who is the combination of identities least palatable to modern progressives: heterosexual, white, and male.
A Newsom nomination would create a rift between the party and the black women who lead it. But that’s a positive for me, because it would be an opportunity to reiterate a very simple message: that the loyalty black voters have to the Democratic Party should be reserved for marriage commitments, not party. Handing over the VP position to anyone other than Michelle Obama would be seen as an affront to black women in the party. Maybe that’s just what’s needed to wake them up to the dangers of liberal patriarchy.
The breakdown of the black family since the mid-1960s has occurred in tandem with the expansion of government and the symbiotic relationship between liberal politicians, government administrators, and poor single mothers that has developed over the past six decades. Everyone in this iron triangle benefits in some way from this arrangement: the politicians get power, the administrators in poor economies maintain job security, and low-income women get financial support.
This dynamic has evolved since the 1960s as women have attained higher levels of education and become more financially independent. The left has adapted by tweaking the patronage system to highlight influential appointments of black women, such as Vice President Kamala Harris and Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
Approximately 80% of black men Voted The 2020 election of Joe Biden as president threatens the Marriage Before the Carriage movement as the left entangles it with, especially black women. Since a woman cannot have two husbands at the same time, “marrying” a political party is bigamous and is sure to complicate relationship dynamics in any community. Men with traditional values want to be seen as future husbands and fathers, not damsels in distress turning to women and their favorite politicians for help.
Until black men and women show as much devotion to one another as we show to the Democratic Party, black families will never be treated as a top priority.
The CNN debate was the evidence the left needed to move away from President Biden. Choosing Gavin Newsom as the nominee would be devastating for Black women, the “pillar” of the party, but it would be a small step toward restoring order to the home. The government is an absentee father and unfaithful spouse because it was never designed to be the master of the home for millions of American women and children. Black communities would be much better off three generations from now if we focused our political, financial and cultural resources on rebuilding the family instead of being party workers.
Democrats want to get “Uncle Joe” off the ballot. I want to get “Uncle Sam” out of our homes.
