Joe Biden’s ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer, is facing a vote for contempt of Congress.

Złonitzer has refused to comply with a congressional subpoena.

Breitbart reported:

The House Judiciary Committee is expected to decide later this week whether to charge President Joe Biden’s ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer, with contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a congressional subpoena.

In March, the committee subpoenaed Zwonitzer, seeking audio recordings and transcripts of conversations with Biden that Townhall reportedly allegedly shared classified information with Zwonitzer after Biden left the vice presidency.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) released a report on Tuesday recommending that the House hold Zwonitzer in contempt of Congress.

“Several weeks after the release of Special Counsel Robert K. Hur’s report on February 5, 2024, the Judiciary Committee (the “Committee”) worked with Mark Zwonitzer to obtain limited documents and records related to Special Counsel Hur’s report,” the report states. “Zwonitzer served as a ghostwriter for President Joe Biden’s memoir, and Special Counsel Hur’s report revealed that Zwonitzer was in possession of records useful for potential legislative reform.”

Mark Zwonitzer told federal investigators that he deleted many recordings with Joe Biden after a special counsel was appointed to investigate Joe Biden.

Axios reported:

The ghostwriter of President Biden’s memoir told federal investigators that he deleted many of the recordings of his conversations with Biden after a special counsel was appointed to investigate the president, according to a partial transcript of the interview obtained by Axios.

Screenwriter Mark Zwonitzer said he deleted the recordings because he feared they would be hacked, the records state.

Why it matters: The recording of Biden’s conversation with Zwonitzer was among the most damning evidence in Special Counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents.

In his final report, Harr emphasized that Biden told Zwonitzer in February 2017, shortly after leaving office as vice president, “I found all the classified documents downstairs.”
“The evidence supports that…” Harr wrote.[Biden] This was a reference to the same classified documents about Afghanistan that FBI agents found in his Delaware garage in 2022.”
