Biden’s granddaughter criticizes the new Tapper-Thompson book as ‘uninspired falsehoods’

Naomi Biden, granddaughter of Joe Biden, has criticized some responsibilities in a new book discussing the cover-ups surrounding her grandfather’s decline during his presidency. The book is described as “Political Fairy Smut,” and she expresses a rather dismissive view of it.

“If you’re curious about this book, just know it’s filled with ridiculous notions. It portrays the experiences of those who actually lived through these events as a sort of elite gossip. It leans heavily on anonymous sources pushing self-serving and misleading narratives. Those authors clearly struggle to grasp the broader implications of what’s at stake,” she mentioned.

The book, titled “The Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” was published recently and written by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson. Notably, the former president’s office announced just days before its release that Biden had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Experts have indicated that Biden is battling a particularly aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. Excerpts from the book reveal discussions among aides about the possibility of Biden needing a wheelchair should he choose to run for reelection in 2024, mainly due to his physical health deteriorating in recent years.

The authors state, “His physical decline has reached a point where there has been serious consideration about whether he might need a wheelchair. However, that decision has been postponed until after the election.” They also noted that his doctor warned about the consequences of another serious fall given Biden’s age.

Additionally, it was reported that Biden ignored Hollywood star George Clooney, a notable Democratic supporter, during a major fundraising event in Los Angeles last year. However, the overall urgency to push Biden out of the race picked up steam following a particularly troubling debate performance against Trump in June.

The book also mentions David Pruf, a senior adviser to Vice President Kamala Harris’s 2024 campaign, criticizing Biden’s strategies against Trump. “He really let us down,” Pruf stated.

As for the responses from Tapper and Thompson’s team, they have not immediately commented on the book’s content.
