New York City police are warning residents about the Colombian drug “Tuxi” that is flowing into the city and has recently been the focus of attention from immigrant crime gangs.
The drug is a mixture of substances that includes cocaine and other drugs such as ketamine, MDMA, methamphetamine, caffeine and opioids. It has been a common illegal drug in Colombia since about 2010 and is sometimes called “pink cocaine.”
Now immigrant gangs are bringing drugs into the U.S.
A few weeks ago, the New York City Police Department reported that a new type of drug called “tutsi” was being sold by immigrant gang members.
Tucci resembles pink cocaine and is rumored to be a mixture of cocaine and ecstasy.

Tusi — or 2-C — became It has become a major issue in Europe since 2016 when authorities arrested several Colombian drug traffickers who began making inroads in countries such as Spain. It initially gained popularity among the upper classes as a kind of designer drug for the wealthy and well-connected.
The rise in Tusi is just one example of a growing wave of immigrant crime hitting American cities, including New York.
For example, police in Manhattan have warned citizens that organized gangs of immigrants, some of whom are as young as 15, are committing robberies across the city.

Crime in big cities caused by immigrant gangs is soaring across the country. New York Post reportMany police departments have become increasingly concerned about growing cooperation between the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and El Salvador’s MS13.
The newspaper reported that the NYPD said Tren de Aragua recruits new members from the city’s many migrant shelters.
“This is organized crime, it’s the same as the Mafia,” Paul DiGiacomo, president of the city’s detectives’ association, told the paper.
South American gangs have also flocked to the New York suburbs, orchestrating thefts from shopping malls and stores.
New York isn’t the only city with this problem.
Chicago is facing a similar problem: Late last year, it reported that arrests of illegal Venezuelan immigrants have increased by more than 11,000 percent since 2021.
Additionally, organized retail theft rings run by immigrants are rampant in both the city and suburbs.
Crime committed by illegal immigrants also surged in Los Angeles in 2023. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested 73,822 foreign nationals with criminal records last year. ICE said“There were 290,178 related charges and convictions within this group, an average of four per person. This included 33,209 assaults, 4,390 sex offences and sexual assaults, 7,520 weapons offences, 1,713 murder charges or convictions and 1,655 kidnapping offences.”
