Recent polls show dismal results for President Biden, with former President Trump leading in a hypothetical showdown, and his declining support among key groups is bad news for Democrats. It shows that.
A recent poll of registered voters between the ages of 18 and 34 showed former president and current Republican front-runner Biden with a 4-point lead, a key group that helped him get into the Oval Office. This adds to the evidence that the incumbent’s support among voters may be in jeopardy.
“I think Joe Biden is really out of touch with not just the younger generation, but basically everyone,” Gen Z voter Alexandria Chan told Fox News on Monday.
“I think on the left, so many people feel like they’re no longer interested in his politics or what he stands for. We all want to see new faces that will unite the country. I think it’s just there.”
Black voters say they will distance themselves from ‘weak’ Biden in 2024: ‘He hasn’t changed a thing’

But Democrats have pushed back against calls for a new face, arguing that Biden’s ideas are youthful despite his age. For example, Democratic Illinois Governor JB Pritzker addressed the issue, naming staunch conservatives Reps. Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, and J.D. Vance, saying, “What they support is old. It’s ugly.”
“What do you think about this strategy?” “FOX & Friends First” co-anchor Carly Shimkus asked a panel of Gen Z voters she attended with Chung, referring to Pritzker’s comments.
Panelist Christian Hodges said that doesn’t work.
“If that happens, it’s because Democrats control the media,” he said. “It’s important to note the fact that this is not a question of the age of the president or the age of the candidate. It is a question of presidential competency. Can Joe Biden hold the office of president? His brain… Is it sharp enough? I don’t think so.
“I think a lot of Gen Z is waking up to this because their biggest strength is being conscious. So it’s not just one or two, it’s all generations waking up to this. I hope so,” he continued.

Hodges added that a multigenerational awakening is essential to “defending freedom” in the United States.
The third panelist, Ezra Meyer, said that while so many young Americans continue to express support for the Palestinian people, about 70% of young voters approve of Biden’s handling of the Israeli war. He cited NBC polling data showing that he did not.
“What do you think makes you do that?” asked Shimkus.
“At least as an American with family in Israel, Mr. Biden’s history of global undermining is especially concerning right now, especially as misguided calls for a ceasefire grow within his own party,” Meyer said. I think so.”
“And this is not what leadership is about. I think it’s time to have someone in the White House who embodies what leadership is. And that’s not Joe Biden.”
Meanwhile, further NBC News polling data showing Trump with a 2-point overall lead over Biden shocked the host of the network’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

“This is important because this is the first time in the history of our polls that President Trump has defeated President Biden,” host Kristen Welker said. ”[It’s] Still within the margin of error, but still significant. ”
Biden’s support among other key demographics, including Black and Hispanic voters, continues to decline as well. New York Times/Siena College Opinion polls this month showed the Republican front-runner has unprecedented support among black voters in key battleground states that will determine the outcome of the 2024 election.
Earlier this year, a Fox News voter analysis found that support for Biden among Hispanic voters has declined, with just 46% of Hispanic voters now choosing him, compared to 63% of the same group in 2020. ing. 37% of Hispanic voters supported Donald Trump in 2024, compared to 35%. % in 2020.
