Concerns Raised About Biden’s Cancer Diagnosis Timing
Co-authors of a new book discussing the end of the Biden administration have indicated that even some of Biden’s close allies are uncertain about the timing of his recent cancer diagnosis.
One co-author expressed skepticism, suggesting that even those who previously worked in Biden’s administration, like Mark Caputo, are questioning whether the diagnosis announced on Friday was merely coincidental. Caputo is known for his longstanding reporting with Axios.
“Even the staunchest supporters of Joe Biden have some doubts,” the co-author added.
The news of Biden’s cancer diagnosis surfaced Sunday, coinciding with renewed attention on him due to several recent book disclosures. One such book, titled “The Original Crime: President Biden’s decline, cover-up, and his miserable choice to run again,” has attracted significant interest.
The diagnosis hasn’t triggered discussions about Biden’s decision to stay in the race, which seems to have instead prompted more comments from former President Trump.
In response to suspicions about the timing, Biden’s office released a statement on Tuesday, clarifying that he hadn’t undergone prostate cancer testing since 2014, making this diagnosis the first of its kind.
“President Biden’s last PSA test occurred in 2014. Before Friday, he had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer,” a spokesperson for Biden stated.
While many prostate cancer cases in the U.S. are identified through blood tests measuring prostate-specific antigens, doctors have long debated the merits of regular screenings, especially for older men.
