High Point University was the highest in the Big South Conference net rankings, and they checked in at No. 86 overall with a 26-5 record. Ken Pomeroy's ranking is number 88 and has a high point.
The next team in the meeting? It will be Radford. Their 17-12 record saw Radford rank 164 in the net and 156 in the Pomeroy ranking set.
For those wondering, the Highlanders are the fourth seed of the tournament. Just above them are two teams that have beaten Radford this season, UNC Asheville and Winthrop.
However, the Big South team heads out for the big dance. As expected, will that be a high point, or will the true Cinderella come out of the Big South Conference Tournament in Johnson City, Tennessee this week? Interestingly, unlike some other meetings, no. One seed means you will need to win three games to reach the NCAA tournament, just to get goodbye to the quarterfinals.
