Following Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 US presidential election, prominent technology industry leaders are sending messages of congratulations and offering to work with the incoming administration.
Leaders of some of the world's most influential technology companies are now congratulating President-elect Donald Trump. The show of support comes despite Trump's controversial relationships with many of the same executives during his previous years as president and throughout the recent campaign.
In a message to Trump, Apple CEO Tim Cook emphasized the importance of America continuing to lead in innovation and creativity, saying: and powered by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity. ”
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who has had a particularly tense relationship with President Trump, also he congratulated He said on his social media platform Thread: We look forward to working with you and your administration. ”
Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai echoed those sentiments, highlighting the potential for cooperation between the tech industry and the new administration. “We are in a golden age of American innovation, and I am committed to working with the administration to benefit everyone,” Pichai said.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who has been the target of President Trump's criticism, praised the president-elect's return to politics and expressed hope for the future. “No nation has a greater opportunity. I hope @realDonaldTrump succeeds in leading and uniting the America we all love,” Bezos wrote.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also expressed his willingness to work with President Trump.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman sent a brief congratulations that ChatGPT likely drafted for him.
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger expressed hope that Trump will restore American manufacturing to its rightful place in the world.
Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon added his voice to the chorus.
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi congratulated Trump on his “huge victory.”
But not all tech executives chose to comment on the election results. Notable absences include NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Netflix co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos.
