Big Ten men's basketball is bigger and better than ever. In the first year of the latest expansion, the Big Ten has 18 programs, including former PAC-12 teams such as USC, UCLA, and Washington. The league won most of the season without a true powerhouse team, but the game was a competitive night in the middle and evening.
The Big Ten hasn't even made conference tournaments recently, with all teams. Only the top 15 teams in the qualifying league meant that only Nebraska, Washington and Pennsylvania State would not have the opportunity to compete in the NCAA tournament for cars. We have left a field where every team can run to the championship.
The Michigan Spartans have entered the Big Ten tournament as one of the hottest teams in the country and have not lost for more than a month. Michigan can line up as the No. 1 seed if they can win a conference tournament. That's the Spartan One of the 10 Big Ten teams currently projected at the 2025 NCAA Tournament Field. The other programs aren't that comfortable.
There's a lot to this line in the 2025 Men's Big Ten tournament. Teams scheduled for large bids should be satisfied with the seeds participating in the conference tournament. Indiana and Ohio are still trying to make it into the field.

Big Ten Tournament 2025 Stakes in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio
All teams on the field are under pressure to enter the Big Ten tournament. Teams like Northwestern, Minnesota, Iowa, USC, Rutgers, and more can only do big dances by winning cars. Most of the other programs have been played for seed in the NCAA tournament.
Indiana and Ohio will likely need to win at least one, and perhaps two games in the Big Ten tournament. The Buckeyes are currently planning their first four in their latest forecastsand enjoy the way it comes out of Dayton at conference tournaments.
Illinois is already safe in the tournament field, but is currently forecast to be eight or nine seeds. This means facing the first place seed in 32 rounds. Illini can get off the 8/9 line in deep runs in conference tournaments.
The Big Ten Tournament title game, which falls a few hours before the insanity of March, is also a tricky proposal. If Michigan wins the conference tournament, will Michigan be able to get the No. 1 seed, or will the Select Committee already set up a bracket? Either way, the Spartans are on fire right now and should be a trendy final four pick.
