Dr. Sebastian Gorka, the incoming Trump administration's senior counterterrorism director and deputy assistant to the president, said on the special. founders roundtable above Breitbart Fight Club Mexico's drug cartels will “face major challenges” after the Trump administration takes office.
Gorka spoke for about an hour and a half on Monday with Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlowe, Washington bureau chief Matthew Boyle and others, and at one point focused on Mexican drug cartels.

Gorka stressed that Mexican drug cartels “absolutely fall” within the purview of the National Security Council.
“I don't want to get ahead of the skies here and steal threats from incoming national security adviser Mike Walz or the president,” Gorka added. “I encourage everyone who wants to know the potential answer to that question to look up what Congressman Walz said about the narco-terrorism threat. In April 2023, President Trump supported a bill introduced by Walz and Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) that would authorize the use of military force against cartels.

Gorka then compared the combat deaths of U.S. soldiers since World War II to the sky-high death toll resulting from one year's horrific border policies.
