According to a recent report from the Bigfoot Field Research Organization, Bigfoot was caught stirring up trouble at a Sasquatch hotspot in Connecticut last year.
Fairfield County residents heard the furry giant's “screams and prolonged cries” shortly after midnight on October 17, 2023. This caused the dog to bark frantically, and the owl fell into a horrified silence.
“This voice had a lot of 'power' and I could see it traveling far. I'd 'roughly' guess at least two clicks.” [1.25 miles] From my coordination.” An anonymous witness stated in the reportpublished this summer.
Witnesses said Yowie's howls emanated from a wooded area near the town of Monroe and lasted for up to a frightening 10 minutes.
The alleged Bigfoot screamed for about 10 seconds, then stopped and repeated the pattern, police said. The reporter said this pattern matches other Sasquatch recordings taken and shared on YouTube.
“When the hoot finished, all the dogs in the area started barking at once. There are usually a lot of owls in the area, and I heard them when I went outside earlier.” said, adding that he was confident the sounds were not from a coyote, bobcat, cougar or fox.
“When I realized the owl had stopped, it probably took about 10 minutes before I could hear the owl again.”
Matthew Moneymaker, an investigator and founder of BFRO, said the report was not shared for nearly a year because it was an audio-only report, but the investigation resulted in the claims being classified as Class B. It has been found to have sufficient reliability.
The incident occurred very close to the railroad tracks and railroad tracks that lead to other sightings. These include an incident in February 2022 in which a woman allegedly witnessed a “very tall, jet black, erect figure” chasing 30 deer in her backyard. Bethel.
“My first thought was, this is either a human or a Bigfoot. I made a quick checklist in my head and ruled out anyone.” the witness said.
“It was completely black from head to toe, with no difference in color. It was also too large to be a human. I asked him to compare its size with the deer that was running right next to him. The black figure was about the size of the deer's body. It was probably between 8 and 10 feet tall.
Mr Moneymaker says the October 2023 incident is credible after ruling that no species known in the area could make the “unidentified strange sounds” being reported. He said it was considered.
“I contacted the witness to confirm that the person was real and if there were any more sounds being heard at the location,” Moneymaker told the Post.
“He heard a loud bark that was unlike any other animal, but consistent with that of Bigfoot. The incident occurred in an area where there have been sightings going back decades. There's a major component to the sightings: deer, which are abundant in the area.”
This sighting was the fifth Sasquatch sighting in Fairfield County since 1953.
According to BFRO, Connecticut is a Sasquatch playground, with a total of 25 sightings reported over the past 70 years.
Litchfield has had the most sightings of any county with 11, the most recent of which occurred in the summer of 2022.
A retired police officer reported hearing yells and yips in a repeating pattern similar to the one the Fairfield County resident described more than a year later.
