A bikini company and its owner are responding to criticism after posting a video of a male model wearing the company's women's swimwear.
Owned by Australian body positive influencer Karina Irby, Moana Bikini describes its brand as “a positive movement of women's empowerment and inclusivity centered around the use of social media as a positive force for change.” “We are at the forefront of this.”
However, a recent promotional video posted on Moana Bikini's Instagram page, which showed male model Jake Young modeling a women's one-piece swimsuit, has many women outraged on social media.
Arby's himself posted this in the IG comments section after many questioned the brand's commitment to women by featuring men in ostensibly feminine swimsuits.

Target CEO says WOKE CAPITALISM is 'great' for their brand and 'the right thing for society'
“Moana has been empowering every body since 2011, and this video really does that.” [sic] Totally shocked. If you have to express your anger, I urge you to listen to it – I think Taylor Swift's song was written for you, so you calm down. “You need to know,” Arby declared in the comments, “that you're special.”
Taylor Swift's 2019 song, “You Need to Calm Down,” is known for its LGBTQ-leaning lyrics, and is a song that encourages supposedly socially conservative people to “scream about haters.” “Resist the urge to do so, for the shade has not weakened anyone.” He's gay. ”
When one account suggested the company was being rude by quoting the song, the Moana Bikini Brand account responded by quoting the lyrics: “You need to calm down. It's too loud.”

Adidas swimsuit ad backlash for “erasing women'': “This looks collaborative''
An account that appears to represent model Jake Young says, “There are many different types of women. Women have different anatomies than what you consider 'normal.' There it is,” he responded. “I am not a woman nor have I ever claimed to be a woman. This post is simply empowering a minority and for that I am forever grateful. Your hate… It’s a reflection of your own insecurities, not mine.”
Recent posts on Young's account have mostly featured him in more feminine clothing, even though his profile lists his pronouns as “he/him.”
A company spokesperson sent a statement to Fox News Digital defending the video, saying people were selective about the posts.
“It's so ridiculous that people would single out this one individual post from our 12 years of business to make wild statements about how we're not empowering women. We are considering this,” the statement said. “Many commenters are making the excuse that they believe it's an 'insult to women,' when in reality they're homophobes and want someone to openly and confidently express their sexuality.” It is clear that there are problems in expressing this.”

“We're happy to receive and listen to feedback from people, both negative and positive. But we're not here to please everyone. It's not possible. It's work. If people aren't happy with this personal post from a proud gay man who wears clothes he's confident in… they'll just keep scrolling or unfollow, right? ” the statement continued. “Imagine choosing to be angry about something and living your life only to stay there, comment, and engage, only to make yourself more and more angry.”
“To be honest, this seems to be their problem, not ours,” the statement concluded.
