Bill Belichick is aiming to be the 'least successful' college coach, according to an ESPN commentator.

After another disappointing loss for the North Carolina Tar Heels, it appears that Bill Belichick is facing more challenges than many anticipated. The team fell to a 2-3 record, having only won one of their first four games, including a lopsided 38-10 defeat against Clemson.

The Heels found themselves trailing 28-3 after just one quarter, following a 34-9 loss to UCF last week. Their season opened with a 48-14 loss to TCU, while their only victories came against Charlotte and Richmond.

On social media, Belichick has faced considerable backlash, and respected college football analyst Paul Feinbaum didn’t hold back. He remarked, “We’re talking about Bill Belichick, arguably the greatest NFL coach ever. But he seems to be on his way to becoming one of the worst college football coaches. It’s sad.” Feinbaum expressed sympathy for Belichick, noting, “It seemed like a good move at the time, but who would actually want to play for him now?”

Another commentator described the situation as “unstructured chaos” within the program, indicating a troubling lack of team culture.

The Tar Heels were recently coached by Belichick, who took over shortly after Mac Brown’s dismissal, causing some to question the decision given the current turmoil.

UNC’s next game won’t be until they travel to Cal the week after next.
